ALBANY, N.Y. -- Defenceman Ben Chiarot scored on a shot from the right point with 23.1 seconds remaining in regulation time, lifting the St. Johns IceCaps to a 2-1 victory over the Albany Devils on Friday in American Hockey League playoff action. The IceCaps, who lead the best-of-five series 1-0, got on the board 4:29 into the game with both teams down one skater. Jerome Samson, who played three AHL seasons in Albany, stole the puck behind the net and fed Eric ODell, who beat Devils goalie Keith Kinkaid between his pads.
