GLENEAGLES, Scotland - Striking a psychological blow in the opening session of the Ryder Cup, the underdog Americans took down Europes big guns — Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter — and grabbed a 2 1/2- 1 1/2 lead after the fourballs on Friday.
