As a lifestyle successor of sorts to the adidas NMD R1, the Buy Adidas POD-S3.1 has surfaced in new styles both simple and complex over the past few months. Now, the POD is following in the adidas NMD‘s footsteps once again — this time with a retro-themed knit pattern on the upper that’s reminiscent of another beloved Trefoil Brand sneaker: the Ultra Boost. These new PODs call upon a bright “Shock Red” for their knit upper, and feature perforations around the toebox, midfoot, and heel for a breathable style that likely feels just as good as it looks.
In what may be the strongest — and certainly most colorful — pack of adidas’ modular silhouette yet, the Cheap Adidas POD-S3.1 comes shining in a few fresh schemes that shed away the more minimal, monochrome toolings it received upon introduction. While keeping the base model the same in its inventive design, the Three Stripes have infused a needed note of lifestyle elements into much of the kit, utilizing more vibrant swatches of tones instead of leaning towards the subtle.
As the spiritual successor to 2015’s now-quintessential adidas NMD, the Adidas POD-S3.1 on Sale has been arriving to market in a myriad of colorways over the summer, the latest of which is a light “Clear Lilac.” Presenting an upper constructed of a light pastel purple mesh and featuring tonal three stripe branding, the shoe’s main design feature is its two-piece outsole, split by a purple plastic midfoot shank. A white Boost heel and white EVA foam forefoot provide cushioning, and light contrast is offered by the grey detailing on the heel tab, tongue, and outsole.
Although the Adidas POD-S3.1 Shoes has been commandeering the majority of the Three Stripes’ lifestyle headlines as of late, its spiritual precursor—the adidas NMD R1—hasn’t gone anywhere either. A white Boost midsole with black bricks provides all-day cushioning (and a little extra contrast), and the shoe is completed with a black outsole.
Adidas POD-S3.1 Men's/Women's The Three Stripes’ ample use of their flagship Boost technology isn’t slowing down anytime soon. One of the newest adidas silhouettes to prominently feature the technology? The adidas POD s3.1—a successor to the adidas NMD R1—that has now surfaced in a bold royal blue.
