Few brands can boast a history that’s as deeply and richly intertwined with skateboarding and skate culture as Vans. With shoes like the Sk8-Hi, the Authentic, and the Vans Old Skool Womens under their belt, the California-based brand truly has their finger on the pulse and legacy of skateboarding. But the brand with the jazz stripe does more than just skate: they’re extremely involved in surfing as well, hosting surfing tournaments and boasting a roster full of world class surfers like Dane Reynolds as well. Reynolds has served as inspiration for the new Vans Paradoxxx, a surf/lifestyle model that blends both surf and skate aesthetics for a vibe that’s unquestionably California.

Vans and London-based brand Lazy Oaf have come together to offer an expansive, whimsical women’s-only collection. The collection features four shoes: an Authentic, an Vans Old Skool Mens, a Slip-On and a Style 29, as well as a matching collection of apparel with tees, hats, hoodies, and more. The Authentic features a white canvas upper with an all-over flower print and black midsole. The Old Skool Platform offers an early 00’s aesthetic with a black/pink colorway adorned with checkerboard laces, hearts on the midsole, and “Bad For You” embroidery.

The Vans Old Skool Outlet Store and Sk8-Hi are built with leather and suede panels, the iconic checkerboard pattern on the medial side, and the distinct red Vans stripe to reflect the retailer’s chief color. Further notes of homage are seen on the lace-tips, which feature “Bascom”, and 25th Anniversary insoles.

Skateboard brand Alltimers teams up with Vans this summer for an all-new edition of the Vans Old Skool Discount in a “space age” design. The not-so-serious skate brand brings their playful aesthetic to the Old Skool silhouette for a futuristic mesh construction with cotton webbing and reflective accents inspired by an imagined narrative of where laser-wielding aliens have taken over the world. The unique Vans Old Skool for Sale will drop in two colorways of royal/yellow and white/blue sitting atop the durable and cushioned Vans Pro skate vulcanized waffle outsole.
