Far Hills, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The United States Golf Association announced on Wednesday that Inverness Club was selected to host the 2019 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. This is the first time Inverness Club, located in Toledo, Ohio, will play host to the U.S. Junior Amateur and it will be the eighth USGA event contested there. The championship will be held from July 15-20. Inverness Club has enjoyed a storied history, having hosted seven USGA championships over the past century, said Daniel B. Burton, USGA vice president and Championship Committee chairman. By hosting this championship in 2019, the club will become the first to have a U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Senior Open and U.S. Junior Amateur. Inverness has also hosted four U.S. Opens, two U.S. Senior Opens in 2003 and 2011, and the 1973 U.S. Amateur.
