Asics Shoes Womens and Vivienne Westwood first teased their upcoming collaboration in February, and now a purported first look at the partner’s impending GEL-Saga model has been unveiled by Yankee Kicks. The New York-based sneaker collector shared images of the footwear on Instagram earlier this week, showcasing the 1990s-born runner with ethereal imprints across a striking blue and orange palette.
This initial peek at the Asics Shoes Sale reveals a heavy influence from Renaissance art, with the heels marked by a colorful image of a baby angel with wings in a nymph-like setting. Elsewhere on the upper, grey suede comprises the overlays while a powder blue mesh underlay brightens up the quarter area and toe cap. ASICS’ signature stripe design at the side panels provides a bold contrast in royal blue, while its tangerine-hued outline adds even more pops. Meanwhile, the tongue of the GEL-Saga has also been splashed with orange for another vivid coating.
The Asics Shoes Black inspiration continues in other elements of the shoe, including the insole and outsole. Two different insole options highlight more visuals with cherubs and angelic figures, while “ASICS x Vivienne Westwood” adds a dual-branding detail. A white midsole finishes off the style with a crisp contrast.
The Asics Gel-Saga White/Sun Coral was originally released back in 1991. However, and even if more than two decades have passed, the silhouette continues to be as modern as it was then. This latest iteration comes with an all-White leather upper with a soft floral print appearing on the sides. The Light Pink ASICS branding appears both on the heel and also on the tongue.
